Indeed, cheesy and crispy, with heavily coated skins, one of the best foods you can ever attempt to smuggle into cinemas too!

The state of Sabah is a beautiful place with many exotic plants and creatures, I've been there once and am looking forward to another trip in the near future. Please don't destroy such a beautiful place created by mother nature?

Let's have peace internationally, shall we?

To give, or not to give?

Screen Shot 2013-01-11 at 8.58.17 PM
Following the recent post on STOMP, about a man asking for money to public transport fare,(link) I was approached by a man in his late 40s last thursday(6th January 2013) at around 5:40pm at Ang Mo Kio MRT station.

Dress in rugged clothes, he asked "对不起小弟,我不够散钱买ticket, 我可以跟你拿一块九来搭车回家吗?"(Sorry kiddo, I don't have enough change to buy a train ticket home, may I ask you for $1.90 spare change for me to purchase a ticket?)

Out of his very sincere approach and innocence, I decided to look into my wallet, and wala..... there was indeed some spare change amounting to $1.90 exactly, I gave it to him immediately, before I could make a move, he asked me what am I doing at the moment(working or studying), I told him i was an NSF with the Singapore Armed Forces of course...

He then asked "哦,真的谢谢你,不过你自己够用吗?。。。。“(oh, thank you very much, but do you have enough for yourself?...."

I am drawing only S$446.40 in allowance from the army monthly....what is "enough"? (certain amounts deducted for comchest charity and insurance), I am even struggling to save up for further studies and rainy days, but hey, if someone needs help, it's always good to help in any way you can afford to.

For some strange reasons, the number 1280 kept coming to me that day, I then head to a Singapore Pools outlet at AMK Hub NTUC. While in line and almost making it to the cashier through the long queue......guess who did I spot(and spotted me) before getting in queue?

THE SAME MAN, holding a bunch of coins with a $2 note, he approached me with a smile and asked me to help him make the bet purchase.....of course, I did it with a what-the-fuck expression.

I felt cheated, I didn't mind the $1.90, I felt my trust stolen, but whatever, I do hope he won(so he probably won't have to beg again).

On the way home, I joked about it via SMS and whatsapp with friends, later in the evening as I checked the results, guess what, I STRUCK 4D LOTTERY! WOOHOOOO, although it was only a winning of $3, it felt real good.
2013-01-11 21.05.04

My point is, whatever happens to money you donate away to strangers, don't feel bad about it, I believe whatever you sow, you'll reap it again in some ways or another, for me, I struck the lottery.

Be kind to strangers. :)

When I'm missing you(Demo cover) - Yong Wei

Merry christmas everyone! I've been MIA for a while.....been busy serving the nation!
(Photo by Omy.sg a few years back)

I have lost 18kg so far, ever since I enlisted into the army 6months ago, my face looks a lot sharper now. Another 18more months to go to finish up my conscription duties! I'm damn happy that I'm constantly losing weight in the army!
Photo on 25-12-12 at 2.54 PM

In my free time, I really would just like to be playing music these days, here's a new(Actually not so new, written a few years back by one of my close music friends.) song demo recording I did in a hurry, written by my good friend Jacky Cheng not the Hong Kong famous Jacky Chueng hor, enjoy!

(Soundcloud link)

Songwriter : Jacky Cheng
Singer/Demo mix : Goh Yong Wei

 Verse:
Day and Night
I've been thinking of you
Every Night
I've been missing you
It's been so long since we last talk

Remember then, I'm thinking of when
I'm by your side all this while
when you cry then I ask why
and you deny
Oh please don't cry

Chorus:
Now again I try to chill but not frill
but you have over done it
It's okay in any way you'll realise it anyway
Here again you never change or even think about it
You didn't care that's what I fear

Verse 2:
Remember then times we spend together
things we talk like forever
we took pictures with beavers
I... miss those times, I... (miss those times)
but its all memories in my mind...

Chorus: x2
Now again I try to chill but not frill
but you have over done it
It's okay in any   way you'll realise it anyway
Here again you never change or even think about it
You didn't care that's what I fear

Outro:
When it's time to say goodbye
It's tight to say goodbye
Don't wanna go
Cos I'll be missing you so

Youths queueing a week before SMTown concert part 2

Story via STOMP, continued from here

Screen Shot 2012-11-24 at 3.53.30 PM

Go ahead and cry you big babies, do something more meaningful with your lives instead of chasing idols.

Anyone can be stupid, but no one should be allowed to be f*cking stupid. This whole story on queuing up 7days for kpop idols has made me so outraged! How in the world can we depend on these youths to take care of Singapore in the future?!

Here's something for youths to start becoming more intelligent, here, listen to some TedTalks here.

Actually, if you think about it, these girls can queue for 7days and night, through rain or shine, even more satki than me doing Guard duties or even outfield trainings leh, these girls should really serve National Service too lor!

Youths queueing a week before SMTown concert

New via Omy.sg

Screen Shot 2012-11-22 at 5.59.29 PM

In summary, youths queue up 7days in advance for SMTown concert, parents paid for tickets, parents drove daily to provide the youths food while they queue.

I can't believe how f*cking useless this generation has become of young Singaporeans, no backbones, no brains and no idea how hard money is earned.

Why not spend the holidays taking up courses that are useful, First-Aid, CPR, Photography or even volunteer instead of rotting around in the queue?
